College Baseball Foundation Welcomes Mark Chapman to Board of Trustees
OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – The College Baseball Foundation (CBF) announced the addition of former Auburn University and professional pitcher Mark Chapman to its Board of Trustees.
Chapman, a four-year baseball letterman at Auburn University and former pitcher in both the Milwaukee Brewers and the Montreal Expos organizations, now works to create value for founder-led and private equity-backed technology companies.
Chapman will serve on the CBF Executive Committee as treasurer. CBF Board Member Chris Snead, who previously served as treasurer, will remain on the executive committee as an at-large designee.
“We are thrilled to have Mark become a member of the Board of Trustees and assume the role of Treasurer,” CBF CEO and Executive Director Tom Jacobs said. “Mark not only had an outstanding baseball career but an equally impressive professional career as a CPA, serving as CFO for several corporations. His financial acumen and experience will be of great benefit to the College Baseball Foundation and Hall of Fame.”
The CBF is the parent organization of the College Baseball Hall of Fame (CBHOF). Mark Chapman is among 21 trustees who present annual player and coach awards and induct a new class of Hall of Fame honorees each year, including the 2025 College Baseball Hall of Fame class, which was announced in June and will be honored at the Night of Champions on February 11-12, 2026, in Overland Park.
The College Baseball Foundation Board of Trustees are led by chairman Craig Ramsey, vice-chairman Rick Greenspan, treasurer Chapman, secretary Aaron Hill and at-large executive committee member Chris Snead. Other Board of Trustees include Dale Ancell, Lori Bertman, Justin Dedeaux, Mike Fiore (CBHOF inductee), Tim Fitzpatrick, Jim Hendry, Jared Hertz, Jana Howser-Stephenson, Gerald Jones, Tai Kreidler, Arlene Matthews, Jim Merritt, Gene Stephenson (CBHOF inductee), Kevin Trainor, Alfred White and John Winters.
